Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Syed Munawar Hasan on Thursday said that the CIA was responsible for the 9/11 attacks and Osama bin Laden was being blamed only to justify the war against the Muslims.
He was speaking at the launching ceremony of journalist Ejaz Ahmed Butt’s book ‘Osama’s death, myth or reality’, at the Lahore Press Club on Thursday. He said there was no evidence to support the Abbotabad incident, adding that US had failed to provide photographs of Osama’s dead body. Munawar said that Osama bin Laden was a phenomenon rather than the name of an individual. It had resulted from the use of brute force on Muslims by the US hence more people will follow Osama’s example in trying to fight terrorism purported by the US.
