Low gas pressure for domestic connections

LAHORE: Gas pressure for the domestic users remained low on Tuesday because of uninterrupted gas supplies to the industries, said Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) sources. Citizens’ problems magnified as they could not cook food because of low gas pressure.
The domestic consumers said their interests were not being safeguarded by the provincial government. The domestic consumers in Multan Road, Kotlakhpat, Township, WAPDA Town, Baghbanpura, Misri Shah, Shadbagh, Iqbal Town, Awan Town and other areas adjacent to industries experienced a low gas pressure. The domestic consumers criticised Punjab government for ignoring them and said the provincial government instead of providing gas to domestic users was busy in facilitating the industries.
“Everyone knows the top administration of the province and politicians have their industries and they cannot bear gas suspension,” said a domestic consumer Imran Bashir. A housewife Faiza Ehsan “Gas pressure was low in the last two weeks but it was worst on Tuesday.”
