The Government College University (GCU), Lahore thrice fumigated its campus from its own resources in the last 10 days to save its students and staff from dengue. GCU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Dr Khaliqur Rehman monitored the campaign to ensure the fumigation and spray of anti-mosquito chemicals in every corner of the university, including hostels, classes, gardens, offices, corridors, playgrounds etc. The university purchased its own fogger machine and spray pumps to ensure timely spray and fumigation while chemicals recommended by the Punjab government and World Health Organisation (WHO), were purchased in abundance.
