An alleged robber was killed and two of his accomplices were arrested by Iqbal Town Police after what it said was an encounter that took place in Mehran Block, Iqbal Town, late on Sunday night. The killed robber was identified as Adnan. Iqbal Town Police claimed that Adnan had barged into the house of homeopathic doctor Akbar Javed, at 613, Mehran Block, along with two accomplices. According to police, robbers held up the residents of the house at gunpoint and started gathering valuables such as gold ornaments, and cash.
Meanwhile, a relative of Akbar informed the police that he suspected a robbery and a heavy contingent of police reached the house and surrounded it. The robbers then opened fire on the police in order to escape, and the police shot back, killing Adnan and later arresting his two accomplices.
