President Asif Ali Zardari visited Nawabshah on Wednesday to get a firsthand account of the widespread devastation caused by the recent heavy floods in Sindh.
The president, accompanied by Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, would take an aerial view of parts of interior Sindh.
He will be briefed about the scale of the damage and the measures being taken to evacuate the people still trapped and the relief camps set up to provide shelter, food and health care to the displaced people.
He will also be informed about the vast scale of damage to the crops, property, livestock and the communication network.
Zardari has already directed the National Disaster Management Authority and the federal and the provincial governments to utilise all available resources to provide relief to the affected people.
