Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Interior Minister Rehman Malik held a meeting at the Chief Minister’s House on Saturday to review the overall law and order situation of the province of Sindh, particularly of the city of Karachi. The meeting was also attended by Senior Sindh Education and Literacy Minister Pir Mazharul Haq and Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Hussain Wasan.
According to an official handout, the meeting expressed satisfaction over action being taken against target killers, criminals, terrorists and anti-social elements. It was decided that the action would continue against the enemies of peace and criminals without any consideration for their political affiliation, and only on the basis of facts. The participants of the meeting categorically denied the allegations that target killers are being released from police custody on the instructions of someone. They termed these allegations incorrect and entirely baseless.
