Transporters in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have decided to run a coordinated campaign to call for a wheel-jam strike against the increase in gas tariff and closure of CNG twice a week. They have decided to go on strike from the third week of September. CNG supply is to remain suspended for two days a week, Thursday and Friday, in the twin cities from next week.
Residents of the twin cities expressed grave concerns over the situation, saying this would aggravate commuters’ problems.
