Two people were killed and two other sustained severe injuries in a firing incident.
Per details, Khalid Khan reported to the police that he was on his way to a bus stand in a car with Alamzeb, Saeed Khan, and Sani Gul, when Akbar Ali, Faraji, Matala, Walid Mir and Khanazada, residents of Landaki Guli Bagh, allegedly started firing at the coach stand in Mardan.
Resultantly, Sani Gul and Saeed Khan were killed on the spot while he and Alamzeb suffered serious injuries. The injured were shifted to the District Headquarter Hospital in Mardan from where they were shifted to Peshawar in a critical condition.
A local source said Sani Gul was a transporter and office-bearer of the ruling Awami National Party (ANP) in the Baghdada Union Council and had a bus stand in Karachi.
The source said old enmity led to the killings. People of the area gathered in the hospital in large numbers to mourn the deceased.
The police have registered a first information report (FIR) against the accused.
