Pakistan’s spinners kept them alive in the four-match ODI series with the help of Bismah Maroof, who saw them home despite another collapse in a low-scoring game. Legspinner and captain Sana Mir and offspinner Nida Dar took seven wickets between them as West Indies crumbled from 41 for three to be dismissed for 92. Opening bowlers Qanita Jalil and Marina Iqbal had rocked the West Indies top order to leave them in trouble at 11 for 3.
Shanel Daley and captain Merissa Aguilleira, however, seemed to have steadied the innings before Mir and Dar got in to the act. West Indies’ new-ball pair of Tremayne Smartt and Pearl Etienne responded by reducing Pakistan to 11 for 3, all three batsmen being caught behind. Maroof stabilised things by adding 47 runs with Nain Abidi, who took 75 deliveries for her 12.
Pakistan had been troubled by offspinner Anisa Mohammed’s 10 wickets in the first two ODIs but this time they played out her 10 overs without suffering any damage. Mir joined Maroof to take Pakistan to the brink before they stuttered again with three wickets falling for two runs. Maroof, however, was around to ensure they got through. The fourth and final ODI will be played on September 3 with West Indies leading 2-1.

Brief Scorecard
Pakistan Women 93 for 7 (Maroof 41*) beat West Indies Women 92 (Aguilleira 34, Dar 4-16, Mir 3-17) by three wickets.
