The Pakistan Army on Friday claimed to have cleared a major part of Mohmand tribal area of militants, adding the operation being conducted there would be completed in a few days. Talking to media representatives, Peshawar Corps Commander Lt-Gen Asif Yasin Malik said the army had reclaimed 80 to 85 per cent area of Mohmand Agency. He added the army was clearing the region of land mines so that internally displaced persons (IDPs) belonging to Mohmand Agency could return home and live there safely.
