Target killings controlled in Karachi: Malik

Interior Minister Rehman Malik claimed on Thursday that the law and order situation in Karachi had improved and incidents of target killings had been controlled to a great extent.
Speaking to the media after visiting Bacha jail in Karachi, Malik said that the police and law enforcement agencies had arrested several target killers from the city.
He mentioned that the miscreants were all Pakistanis and their videos would be released on the media after Eidul Fitr.
He stressed that the security operation to arrest those who were supporting these criminal elements would continue in various parts of the city.
The interior minister had earlier made several promises of exposing the arrested terrorists on the media.
Explaining the strategy behind the ongoing targeted operations in Karachi, Malik earlier said that the operations were not against the people of the areas but were against the criminal factors.
According to Malik, a total of 103 suspects were arrested on Sunday from Allama Iqbal Colony, Zehri Para, Dhobi Ghat, Usmanabad and Jinnahabad.

Rehman Malik has been thorougly exposed by Dr Zulfikar Mirza. No doubt about that. He has damaged PPP by openly advocating MQM supremo Altaf Hussain. He has been sprinkling salt into the wounds of majority in the province i.e. Sindhis, most urdu speaking population, Balochis, pushtoons. punjabis and many others by trivialising target killings committed by thugs of the MQM and propounding ridiculous theories like wives killing husbands. Taleban committing murders and Mossad and Raw involvement.
