Security arrangements have been finalised and more than 2,000 police officials have been deployed for the security at Chand Raat and Eidul Fitr prayers across Rawalpindi, said Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Azhar Hameed Khokhar. CPO said policemen had been directed to keep an eye on all crowded places and they had been directed to ensure a thorough 24-hour-patrolling of their respective areas. He said best possible security arrangements had been made to cover main city markets, mosques and other religious congregations, while 15 checkposts had been established to check vehicles’ entry and exit in the city, and Rapid-Response Squads had been formed as well.He said all city police stations had been provided with 20 additional policemen.
