The ongoing “surgical operations” in selective parts of the city will have very positive impact on law and order situation, said Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wasan on Wednesday.
“The operation is being conducted without any discrimination and regardless of political affiliations,” he told the media at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Police Training
Centre in Razzakabad after witnessing the passing-out parade of the 12th Eaglet Batch.
“The surgical operations would continue till peace is restored in Karachi,” he added.
Earlier, in his address to the Eaglets after witnessing the passing out parade, the minister said that 327 commandos including women cadres have completed their training.
“Besides Karachi, the Eaglet force will also be deployed in other parts of the province to boost the morale of the regular force,” he added.
He said that the salaries of the police force will be brought at par with that of its counterpart in Punjab and the president has also approved funds for this purpose.
“The police force will be equipped with latest weapons and other gadgets as well,” he maintained. Sindh IGP Wajid Ali Durrani was also present on the occasion.
