FIFA president may visit Pakistan

International Football Federation (FIFA) President Sepp Blatter has expressed his desire to visit Pakistan to see the progress made in football and its allied infrastructure. He expressed his desire at a recent meeting with Pakistan Football Federation President Fasial Saleh Hayat who was also the member of the Disciplinary Committee of the FIFA U20 World Cup.
“It was very a beneficial meeting for the cause of football in Pakistan as the PFF President briefly threw light on the steps being taken by PFF for the overall development of the game in the country where football houses were being built with the financial assistance of world football body,” PFF spokesman said. PFF President welcomed the kind gesture of Baltter for visiting Pakistan, he added.
FIFA chief also congratulated Faisal on Pakistan U16 team’s title victory in the SAFF Championship held in Nepal and wished him luck for his endeavour for development of football in Pakistan and in Asia. Blatter reiterated his commitment to expedite the construction of the five FIFA Goal Projects already allocated to Pakistan to ameliorate the suffering of the flood effected areas of Pakistan.
The official said that the FIFA chief also committed to arrange a few artificial turfs for these projects to bring them in line with modern football fields which would greatly enhance the playing techniques of the football players.
