The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) seems to favour army operation in Karachi as Punjab Governor Latif Khosa on Monday endorsed the call for de-weaponising the economic hub of the country. Talking to reporters at the residence of PPP Lahore General Secretary Akbar Khan, Khosa said purging the port city of illegal weapons was the need of the hour as annihilation of Karachi meant annihilating the economy of Pakistan. Urging all the political parties and ethnic groups to remove their differences and work together to improve the country, he said the biggest gift for Pakistanis would be peace in Karachi. Earlier, the Punjab governor condoled with Akbar Khan his mother’s death.
