MQM leader Altaf Hussain has demanded Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani tender his resignation over his government’s ‘failure’ to stop violence in Karachi.
Reportedly, Altaf made this demand to the PM in a statement issued on Monday. In his statement, Altaf said the government had failed miserably to stop murders of the Mohajars.
“I have drawn the prime minister’s attention on many occasions to the escalating wave of bloodshed in Karachi, but he did not take any action in that regard,” the statement further said.
People could no longer be silent spectators over this serious situation and the prime minister should tender his resignation and quit over the failure to stop murders of the Mahajar community, said the statement.
