Poor sanitary conditions in residential areas of the capital are very much visible as puddles have become quite a common feature on the main roads and streets of the city, causing trouble for pedestrians and motorcyclists.
Citizens complained that people, who lived on main roads, wash their houses or vehicles parked in the garages but do nothing to stop water spill over on to the streets. They said the accumulated water not only created hurdles for people but also damaged the roads.
The citizens demanded the authorities concerned make these house owners aware of their civic responsibilities to prevent them from creating problems for others.
