India releases more water into Sutlej, inundating villages

After the release of further water in Sutlej River by India, 57,000-cusec water is currently reportedly flowing through Gunda Singhwala junction.
Continuous increase in the flow has inundated many villages, while water level at Kakar post has risen to more than 18 feet.
Rescue 1122 personnel are reported to be busy in rescue activities, helping stranded persons relocate to safer areas, while a 50 feet wide cut has been reported at Tando Ghulam Ali, due to which stranded persons of the district are also facing difficulties in receiving aid facilities.
Thousands of affectees of Badin district are lying helplessly under open skies, protesting against the indifference of administration in providing relief to them.

  1. India can't wait for the dam to burst through its banks and destroy itslef. This is the practice worldwide. India is not your reservoir that should suffer all the damages when there is too much of water and than release water from its dams when it is drought !! I wonder what Pakistanis think of having done something so good to India that Pakistan qualifies for this favour.
