NADRA starts revalidation process of issued arms licenses

National Database & Registration Authority, (NADRA) has started the revalidation process of Arms Licenses issued by Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan. NADRA has state of the art infrastructure of Centers, comprised of trained and qualified manpower with the capability and capacity to develop and manage Arms License Management System. The process will provide Transparency and Authenticity of Arms License and proper data will be available with the Ministry of Interior (Govt of Pakistan).
Deputy Chairman NADRA, Tariq Malik stated this in a statement issued here today.
He said NADRA will process Arms Licenses on behalf of Ministry of Interior; however the approval of each Arms License application is the sole discretion of MOI. NADRA will only process those applications which have the approval of MOI. He said original CNICs and original licenses (alongwith photocopies) are pre-requisite for revalidation alongwith application form available at NADRA Centers and MOI website.

  1. Dear Sir/Madam:

    Where are the application forms? They are not avilable at the NADRA offices. I was informed that the forms would be avilable after EID. It was mentioned in a newspaper that they would be also available on Web site of MOI. Pl advise.

  7. WHAT ABOUT THOSE LICENCES WHICH HAVE BEEN TO ARMED FORCES PERSONNEL AS BEFORE THESE LICENCES RENEWD FREE OF COST? ARE THEY EXEMPTED FOR REVALIDATION?

    Earlier armed forces personnel were exemption from arms license fee & renewal fee. Will they now pay the fee on revalidation of their arm license or will remain still exempted?

  14. There are 158 designated NRCs nation wide to accept the Arms License Re-validation forms, not every NRCs is authorized to process the Arms Licenses revalidation, Forms are available both at designated NADRA offices, and MOI web Site,

    This revaalidation is only for licenses issued by Ministry of Interior (MOI) prior to January 1, 2011, No proviencial level Arms Licenses are required to be revalidated.
    Fee for Prohibited bore is 1100, and Non Prohibited Bore License id Rs 600. This fee is the processing fee charged by NADRA and applicable to all categories which include GRATIS Licenses or Licenses issued to Arms Forces personnel by Ministry of Interior.

    The initial validity of these revalidated licenses will one year.

  19. My Licence was not accepted by Nadra reasoning it was not registered at DCO Karachi Office. In accordance with advice of Nadra Office near Nursary I refered to DCO Office for registeration but they denial to do so due to the switch over of Local Govt., System to Commissionor System and at Deputy Commissionar Office this system is not yet transfered. Please advise… ??
    Further, please advise whether the date of computerized licence is extended after Dec 31, 2011.

  22. i have already sumitted my licence for revalidation to nadra.the licence is free from payment of fees.i hope my new licence will be also endorsed free of fees as well. I have been an officer of grade 20.

  32. I have submitted my arm licence at district east karachi in jan 2014, my transcation No: 479196464, ID card # 42201-0339046-1.

    Also submitted police enquire as asked by you in 9-3-2014, but till now I haven't received thr licence nor any reply to me that what happen

    to the porcess, OR how long you will take more, as your commitent is for 90 days for issuing, OR atleast give us any reply .
