US State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland said on Wednesday that Pakistan stood with the international community in the war against terror.
Nuland told reporters that cooperation between US and Pakistan in the fight against terror was in the interest of both countries. “Washington has conveyed its reservations to Islamabad over links of some elements of the government with the Haqqani network and Lashkar-e-Taiba,” she said. The spokesperson said whereabouts of the US national abducted from Lahore were yet to be known.
