British female Muslim Minister Saeeda Warsi said on Monday said that Pakistan was facing economic and security challenges and that Britain would soon become Pakistan’s largest donor country. In her address to the gathering at Pakistan’s Independence Day ceremony, she said that Britain would play an important role in pulling Pakistan out of its current state of crisis.
She referred to the Birmingham incident while proposing greater protection and cooperation for the Pakistani community. She also paid tribute to Pakistani youngsters residing in Britain by commending Tariq Jahan, the father of slain British Pakistani, Haroon Jahan as a representative of Pakistan and Muslims.
