Kristen Stewart “loves” vampires. The ‘Twilight Saga’ actress – who is in a relationship with her co-star Robert Pattinson, who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the movie series – admits she has been a big fan of the franchise since reading Stephenie Mayer’s novels aged 17 and found she really related to the “dangerous” characters.
Kristen – who plays Bella Swan in the films – said: “I was 17 when I read ‘Twilight’, and at the time it was so perfect for me. The script was about young kids who think they can handle stuff that they just can’t. And they’re going to do it anyway. Because, why not? Just torture yourself. I relate to that. Vampires are a little dangerous – and we girls like to test ourselves.”
Kristen, 21, also admitted she felt “lighter” than she ever had when filming on the final movie in the series, ‘Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2’, came to an end.
