Unidentified men poisoned Mohammad Aslam, 50, to death in the Shafiqabad Police precincts on Sunday. According to details, the deceased, a resident of Kaba Market, Multan Road, left his house for Ali Pur Chatta on Thursday but never reached his destination. He was found unconscious from the Rana Town suburbs.
Rescue 1122 shifted him to Mian Munshi Hospital, where he died. Shafiqabad Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Shahid Gujjar claimed that some swindlers poisoned Aslam on his way to Ali Pur.
SUICIDE: Hafiz Zaman Ali, 14, committed suicide upon being scolded by his father in the Nawab Town Police precincts on Sunday. Police officials said Zaman, a student of class 4, shot himself with a 30-bore pistol as his father Shamsudin scolded him for not going to Madrasa for seven days. The family refused to lodge a report.
BODY FOUND: A woman’s skeleton was found from the Kahna Police precincts on Sunday. Edhi officials said locals spotted the skeleton in the Asif Suleman Village while cultivating fields. They said the woman was probably buried after being murdered.
COUPLE INJURED: Some unidentified men attacked a couple with knives over a monetary dispute in the Factory Area Police precincts on Sunday. Police officials said Muhammad Qasim, 28, and his wife Bushra, 25, residents of Chungi Amer Sadhu, were injured by their family friend over a monetary dispute. The injured were moved to General Hospital where their condition was stated out of danger.
SSP: Senior superintendent of police (SSP) (Operations) Lahore directed city SHOs on Sunday to ensure registration of first information reports on apparent bruises instead of delaying the process on the pretext of waiting for medical report. The SSP warned the SHOs of Misri Shah, Shahdara Town, Shafiqabad, Bhaati Gate and Akbari Gate to improve their performance within 15 days. He also appreciated the Lower Mall and Old Anarkali SHOs.
