Break begging bowl to safeguard Nuclear assets: Shahbaz Sharif

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif said on Sunday that the begging bowl needs to be broken in order to safeguard the nuclear assets of country.
Addressing an Independence Day function after laying wreaths at Allama Iqbal’s shrine in Lahore, Shahbaz said Pakistan is a responsible nuclear power state. “We need to do away with the begging bowl otherwise our nuclear programme will be endangered,” he said.
The chief minister said no one could dare to cast an evil eye on Pakistan in presence of the atomic programme.
He said alive nations conduct self-accountability. He said on the Independence Day the nation should resolve to promote unity and national solidarity. He said the loot and plunder should be stopped and the rich-poor gap should be ended to ensure prosperity.
“If we want success, we will have to adopt the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). We will have to act upon the teachings of the Holy Quran,” Shahbaz said.
He said the Independence Day teaches us to follow the principles of the Quaid.
