ISLAMABAD – The Supreme Court on Wednesday adjourned hearing of a contempt of the court case against the judges, who took oath under the Provisional Constitution Order (PCO), till January 3, 2011, a private TV channel reported.
A four-member bench comprising Justices Mahmood Akhtar Shahid Siddiqui, Justice Jawwad S Khawaja, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Tariq Parvez was hearing the case against the judges for taking oath under the PCO in defiance of a restraining order issued by a seven-member bench of the apex court on November 3, 2007.
During the hearing, Justice Khawaja said that mistakes of the judges should be identified. The apex court adjourned the hearing of the case till January 3 of the next year.
