The Pakistan Football Federation have announced a cash award of Rs three million for the Pakistan’s under-16 team for winning the SAFF Under-16 Championship in Nepal. Pakistan stunned India in the final by 2-1 on Wednesday.
PFF President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat expressing his pleasure on the outstanding performance of Pakistan U-16 Football team and the officials made the announcement.
The President PFF announced the cash award and pointed out that the win would boost the game in the country and expressed his belief that the future of the game is now safe.
“Historical win has not only brought laurels to the game of football but has also made nation proud by beating Indian team twice in the same event and The PFF requests the prime minister and the chief ministers of all the provinces and multinational institutions, banks and philanthropist to come forward and encourage these young national heroes by announcing attractive cash awards, so that these players in their humble way continue shining the name of Pakistan,” PFF official said.
