Pakistan which is likely to set an export target of at least $27.5 billion during July to June (2011-2012) has registered $2.203 billion exports during first month of this fiscal year. According to available statistics, the exports in July 2011 were almost 27.6 per cent higher than the exports of $1.726 billion registered in the corresponding month of 2010. The exports of last month was also the highest ever exports for the month of July in the export history of Pakistan.
Though the country has maintained the figure of $2 billion in exports in last month, the exports decreased by at least 9.23 percent as compared to the exports of $2.427 billion recorded in June 2011. On the other hand the imports during July 2011 were valued at $ 3.689 billion registering a growth of 13.9 per cent over the level of imports valued at $3.239 billion in July 2010. However the imports during last month decreased by 4.5 per cent if compared with the imports $3.836 billion recorded in June 2011.
