Islamabad Industrial Area Assistant Commissioner Imran Ali Sultan conducted a raid in Sector I-9 markets and arrested a vendor for selling expired cold drinks. A spokesman for ICT administration said the vendor had been handed over to police for the registration of FIR. He said price magistrates on Wednesday also imposed fines on shopkeepers amounting to Rs 23,000 for overcharging customers. The industrial area AC imposed fines amounting to Rs 5,000 on several profiteers for over charging in I-9 area markets. Similarly, Islamabad City Circle Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa also imposed fines worth Rs 11,000 during price-checking in Jinnah Super Market. Meanwhile, Naib Tehsildar Zahoor Ahmed imposed fines amounting Rs 7,000 on profiteers during price checking in the city’s Rawat area.
