Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in collaboration with ministry of information and broadcasting organised a Mehfil-e-Milad for women to mark the holy month of Ramadan at National Art Gallery (NAG) on Tuesday. Renowned television and radio naat khawan and intellectuals spoke on “Seeratun-Nabi” and presented naats and salams and prayed for the flood victims across the country. Participants of the milad highlighted various aspects of Ramadan and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)’s personality. They said that the month of Ramadan gave a lesson of tolerance, peace and brotherhood and the recent flood was an opportunity for all Pakistani’s to help the victims. The women who presented naat include Saira Mazhar, Shahnaz, Rizwana Khan, Perveen Shaiba, Sana Tyeba, Sadia Batool, Rukia Khoursheed, Naila, Faria Waheed, Humera Naz, Haleema Sher, Hashmal Noor, Tahmeena, Parveen, Zaboor Zaheer, Mehmoona Khan, Hadia Waheed, Shreen Sharafat, Tanveer Zahera and Tahira Naseem.
