LAHORE: Arrangements for providing immediate first-aid facilities for the mourning possessions of Muharram were reviewed by Director General Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Rizwan Naseer. Rescue 1122 workers are expected to remain on high alert. Twenty four fully equipped ambulances, 16 fire vehicles, 2 rescue vehicles, 46 mobile posts, doctors and medical officers to accompany the possessions all over the city. Rescue posts will be established at Imam Bargah Bhakewal More, Bhati Chowk, Niaz Baig Village, Ali Raza Abad, H-Block Model Town, Islampura Procession, Rang Mahal Chowk, Jafria Colony, Ada Shabil Hando Village, Samanabad, Chungi Amar Sadhu, Kotha Pind, Nishat Colony/ R.A Bazar, Cavalry Ground, A-Block Model Town, Nishtar Town, Batapur Attokey Awan, Aziz Pully, Lal Pul Mughalpura and Imamia Colony Shahdara.
Such measures are important to deal with emergencies and citizens should be responsible enough to give way to the ambulances and workers, Naseer said, adding that the rescue staff should be called immediately. Besides Lahore, other districts where the Rescue workers will be functional are Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, D.G. Khan, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Sahiwal Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Muzafargarh, Rajanpur, Mianwali, Pakpattan, Kasur, Gujrat, Bahawalnagar, Jehlum, Attock, Khanewal, Vehari, Chakwal, Okara, Hafizabad, Sheikhupura, Lodhran, Nankana Sahib, Khushab, Mandibaha-ud-din, Narowal, Layyah and Bhakkar.
