Two girls died and five of their family members were injured when the dilapidated roof of their house collapsed because of rain in the Baghbanpura Police precincts on Monday. As the roof collapsed, locals immediately called Rescue 1122, which recovered the bodies, rescued the injured from the debris and rushed them to a nearby hospital. The deceased sisters were identified as Irum, 16, and Bakhtawar, 18, while the injured included Ghulam Shabbir, 40, the head of the family, Shahnaz, 35, Shabbir’s wife, Natasha, 8, and her two brothers Shahbaz and Riaz.
