Labourers are receiving their standard salary of Rs 7,000 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa only, Provincial Labor Minister Sher Azam Wazir said on Saturday.
Speaking at ‘Meet the Press’ program at Peshawar Press Club, the minister said 85 percent of the labourers in KP were earning the standard wage of Rs 7,000 and more, adding that the government would soon bring the 15 percent at par with the rest. He said the government was fully aware of the problems faced by the labourers.
He said the government and the judiciary were not at odds and PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif was only passing statements to seek attention. He said the government respected the judiciary and would not attack the Supreme Court like the Sharif government did.
