The recent building collapse in Lyari should shake the administration out of its stupor and alert them to the fact that as many as 113 building are unfit for living in just two towns of Karachi. This criminal negligence on the part of the city authorities will cost innocent people their lives.
The admin needs to step up its game and clean up all this buildings and condemn all of those that do not match up to the requisite security standards. The fact that there is no comprehensive code in place also implicates the admin. A code should be drafted and implemented thoroughly post haste.
