LAHORE: Pakistan would continue its moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris for their right to autonomy, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid Like-Minded Group Punjab Vice President Amer Reza Niall and Central Vice President Ubaid Kamran said on Monday in a press conference. Niall referred to gross human rights violations in Indian-held Kashmir (IHK) and said that former Indian Northern Command GOC Lieutenant General HS Panag was compared with Milosevic of Bosnia for butchering Muslims and advised the US not to hold any joint military exercises with the Indian army until India stopped human rights violations in IHK. He also termed Lieutenant Colonel AK Mathur “devil’s advocate of Srinagar”.
Kamran urged the federal government to raise its concerns with the UN over the Hindutva brotherhood and Shiv Sena. He said that the Wikileaks revelations suggested that fund raisers such as the Hindu Students Council of America be banned, as they were generating funds for Hindu militant outfits under charity’s garb.
The PML-Q Like-Minded leader said that Pakistanis were shocked that the Hindutva Brotherhood was declared a bigger threat to regional and global peace than the Taliban, al Qaeda and the LeT. Both the leaders said that the world should also look into the $3 trillion annual drug trade from Afghanistan through Pakistan. “Why is our government keeping mum over the issue and who are beneficiaries of this drug trade?” they asked adding that the government should not keep its eyes closed over the issue.
