Fresh monsoon spell expected to start today

The Met Office predicted another spell of monsoon in the upper parts of the country from today (Thursday), which might result in scattered rain with thundershowers during the next three to four days.
Afterwards, the weather system is likely to spread to other parts of the country. According to the Met Office, scattered rain and thundershowers are expected in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Malakand, Hazara and Kohat during the next few days. The weather is likely to remain hot and humid in the rest of the country during this period.
More monsoon currents are likely to penetrate parts of the country from Saturday, which would result in scattered rain and thundershowers with isolated heavy rainfall in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and AJK from Saturday to Tuesday.
