LAHORE: Dozens of nurses from Saeeda Waheed Nursing College protested on Monday in front of PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif’s Jati Umra residence against the non payment of their monthly stipend. Scores of nurses came out on the Raiwind Road protesting against the suspension of their stipend for over four months and raised slogans against the administration and blocked the road for two hours.
\Begum Kalsum Nawaz talked to their delegation and assured them of fulfilling their demands within two days. The nurses had given a call for more protests in front of Punjab Assembly if their demands were not met.
