Rabies death toll in Sindh reached 21 after an 11-year-old, bitten by a dog in interior Sindh, died at the National Institute of Child Health (NICH) on Thursday.
Imtiaz Chandio was bitten by the dog near the village of Chachro in December.
He was delivered the anti-rabies vaccine upon receiving the wound; the vaccine, however, failed to improve his condition and he was moved to the National Institute of Child Health in Karachi where he eventually passed away.
The NICH director confirmed news of his death on Thursday.
