19 more killed during last 24 hours in Karachi

Efforts carried out by political parties to re-establish peace in Karachi went unfruitful as nineteen more people were killed in the span of 24 hours between Sunday and Monday night.
Unknown armed people injured a person by firing at him in the remit of Shah Faisal Colony Police Station-4 early in the morning on Monday. He was then removed to the Jinnah Hospital but he succumbed to injuries. Police could not identify him yet.
Police recovered hand-feet cuffed dead body of a man from Korangi Awami Colony that was later shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
Unidentified suspects left dead body of an abducted 25 years old man in Korangi Industrial Area Sector-19. He was strangled to death. He was yet to be identified. Two hand-feet cuffed dead bodies were found from Dhobi Ghat from Mian Wali Colony near Liyari. They were shot dead after brutal torture. Dead bodies were removed to the Civil Hospital. SHO Pak Colony Shakeel Sherwani told that their ages are between 20 to 25. One of them was wearing Shalwar Kameez while other wore trousers.
Armed men shot dead husband Shams-ur-Rehman (55) and wife Sultana(45) by breaking into a house in Baldia-5. Dead bodies were shifted to the hospital. Police called domestic dispute to be the reason behind these killings.
In the wee of Sunday, Hayat (30) was shot dead and Shahid sustained injuries when unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire upon them in Gulistan-e-Johar i.e., Perfume Chowk.
Another dead body was found from Urdu Bazar in the remit of Aram Bagh Police Station. A torture afflicted dead body of Kamran(22) was recovered from Mangho Pir Road near Liyari nullah. Two dead bodies were recovered from different areas of Orangi Town Sector-15.
Unidentified men fired upon a loading pick-up in the remit of Sarjani Town Police Station in Sector 7-B, killing Sajjad (22) and Bacha Khan (35). Tahir (35) was shot dead near Khuda Ki Basti Liyari Express Way. Two dead bodies were found from Tesar Town and their identities are yet to be known.
Firing among two groups in Sarjani Town intensified the situation in the area. Shops and all the trading companies were shut down whereas seven shops, three motor-cycles and a bus, Metro Cinema, were torched.
At least 21 persons received bullet injuries in separate incidents happened in Orangi Town, Landhi, New Karachi and Gulistan-e-Johar.
Police and Rangers were present in these areas but they didn’t carry-out any raid upon the alleged suspects.
