KARACHI: Anas Habib, the son of a newspaper hawker who topped the intermediate exams in Karachi, called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday, a spokesperson said.
Habib had secured 969 marks out of 1100 in Higher Secondary School examinations, 2019, and stood first in commerce group in Karachi.
The chief minister congratulated Habib over his brilliant performance and said: “Your father, educators and family deserve felicitation and those students exhibiting outstanding educational performance are beloved to me.”
Shah ensured Habib of the government’s support in receiving higher education. According to his spokesperson, he also took the phone number of the student.
“If you face any problem, feel free to contact me,” Shah was quoted as saying.
Habib’s father was presented a shield on the occasion while his son received a book on Sindh’s economy.
