Two killed in Lahore

A neighbour along with his two friends killed a 38-year-old man to occupy his house near China Scheme in Gujjarpura police limits on Sunday. The victim, identified as Kashif Hussain, was resident of B-I China Scheme. According to police, the victim had returned to Pakistan in 2004 from New Zealand and had bought a house in the aforesaid area, where he was living alone. His neighbour, Ijaz, and his two friends, Asif and Sadaqat, injected poison into Kashif’s body and later burnt the victim to stage a drama that he had been expired due to fire.
Police arrested the three and registered a case against them on complaint from the victim’s brother Javed. Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies foiled a terrorism plan ahead of Ramadan by arresting two alleged terrorists from Kot Abdul Malik area on Sunday. The arrested, identified as Aqeel and Shahbaz, were caught from house of an activist of a banned organisation. Two suicide jackets and several detonators were recovered from their possession. Law enforcement agencies raided the house on identification of terrorists, who had been arrested a couple of two days back by Islamabad police.
The accused were involved in attacks on Sakhi Sarwar shrine and were now planning another attack in Ramadan. Besides, a four year old girl died due to negligence from a doctor, who injected a wrong injection on her body on Sunday. The deceased, identified as Misbah, was resident of Usman Park. Police said the deceased was suffering from diarrhea over which her family had admitted her to a local hospital, owned by Dr Zaheer. The girl died within half an hour after the doctor had injected her.
Local police, after reaching the scene, removed body of the deceased to morgue for autopsy and started investigating the matter. According to the station house officer, the accused Dr Zaheer runs a hospital in two shops located on ground floor of his house.
