RAWALPINDI: A police sub-inspector was martyred in Rawalpindi late on Thursday night when unidentified gunmen opened fire at him.
According to details, the gunmen, who were riding a motorcycle, fired bullets at the police official in the jurisdiction of Civil Lines police station resulting in his instant death.
The shooters managed to escape the crime scene.
Following the incident, contingents of law enforcement agencies cordoned off the neighborhood and started a search operation to arrest the shooters.
