KARACHI: Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announced on Monday that bag wrapping charges have been slashed by Rs 50 per bag. Previously, as per CAA directives, Rs 400 was being charged for each bag on the airports across the country.
As per the details, the decision was taken in an executive committee meeting chaired by Director General Civil Aviation Shahrukh Nusrat.
In the meeting, it was also decided that this change of rate for wrapping of bags will be implemented henceforth on all airports.
Size and weight of bags would not affect the charges and Rs 50 will be collected for each bag of any proportion or weight.
Metting also decided that prices of edibles being sold at airports would also be decreased.
