Football camp finishes in Chitral

The District Football Association Chitral organised a three-day camp for young footballers at the Chitral Scouts football ground.
GD Langlands, esteemed former teacher for 30 years at the prestigious Aitichison College Lahore and current principal of the Langlands School and College in Chitral, inaugurated the camp and arranged coaches from Lahore.
These were Bilal Mumtaz, currently studying in Canada, and Nadir Saigol, currently studying in the US. As many as 33 players, hailing from different football clubs in Chitral, participated in this camp. Bilal Mumtaz and his fellow coach trained boys under their “Football and Attitudinal Change” program, to give them a practical and theoretical sense of how the game should be played. Each training session was of three hours daily.
Commandant Chitral Scouts and Major Ghulam Rasool (DQ Chitral Scouts) organized the camp. On the final day of the camp, an exhibition match between the Langlands School and College and the Frontier Corps Public School was organised. The Frontier Corps Public School won by two-goals-to-nil. On this occasion, chief guest was Rehmatullah Khan Wazir, DCO Chitral. He presented the winning team with Rs 6,000, while the runners-up were provided Rs 4,000. Hussain Ahmed (General Secretary DFA), Rehmatullah Khan Wazir (DCO Chitral), Major Ghulam Rasool (DQ Chitral Scouts), and GD Langlands (Principal Langlands School & College). Bilal Mumtaz were also present on the occasion. Both he and Nadir Saigol presented a football to each player along with a certificate of participation in the camp. They also made a donation of Rs. 50,000 to DFA and Langlands School and College.
