ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Deputy Prosecutor General Sardar Muzaffar Khan on Friday lodged a complaint with Islamabad police after he was allegedly targeted by unidentified persons in a gun attack outside his residence.
According to the FIR [First Information Report] registered in the I-9 police station, the anti-graft official stated that he had “come out of his home on Thursday night to see his brother off when he heard several gunshots”.
“My two sons, aged seven and five, were accompanying me as well,” the FIR read.
According to Khan, although he did not any have personal enmities, but, he added, he was working on several high-profile cases registered with the anti-corruption bureau.
Khan further said he fears for his and his family’s safety, adding that he had informed the bureau’s Rawalpindi director-general about the incident.
