KARACHI: The death toll of people from electrocution in Karachi rose to 19 as one more youth died of power shocks in the metropolis on Wednesday.
According to rescues sources, a 22-year-old man, Muhammad Bux received severe electric shocks while working at a cattle pen in Marvi Goth of Quaidabad. As a result, he died on the spot.
The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for an autopsy.
During the spell of three days rain, 18 people were electrocuted in different parts of the metropolis, including, North Nazimabad, Surjani Town, North Karachi, Kharadar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Boat Basin, Landhi, Quaidabad and Kala Pul.
