LAHORE: A banking court on Friday issued orders to auction the properties of Ayesha Ahad, ex-wife of Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Hamza Shehbaz.

In a ruling, the court fixed August 26 and 27 as dates for auctioning properties of Ayesha worth Rs13.5 million.

Banking court number 1 took up the petition filed by a private bank against Ayesha Ahad.

During the hearing, the lawyer representing bank said that Ayesha had acquired a loan in name of AZC Developers citing business investment.

“Ayesha had put her 3 Kanal 17 marla house of Mozan Bhobtian and shop number 15 and 16 of Ahad Town and Gulberg, respectively, in guarantee”, the lawyer said.

After hearing arguments of both parties, the court ordered the auction of Ayesha’s properties.
