NFC imports urea

Chairman National Fertiliser Corporation Mr. Khalid Malik said that 153k metric tones of urea has been imported to fulfill the needs of farmers, so that they do not have to face a shortage of urea. In his statement, Chairman NFC said that 70,376 metric tonnes urea has been imported to Gwadar Port and remaining 83 thousand metric tones of urea will arrive in Pakistan during the first week of August.
He said that easy supply of the urea remained to be the utmost priority of the government. Chairman National Fertiliser Corporation Mr. Khalid Malik said that efforts have been made for the timely delivery of urea, on the special orders of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani and Senior Federal Minister Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi. He said that the imported urea will be provided to the farmers on controlled price rates.
