Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar on Tuesday said that talks between Pakistan and India on Kashmir should not be for the sake of dialogue only, rather they should yield constructive results.
Talking to media at the Lahore airport, she said, Kashmiri leaders should be part of the dialogue process on the Kashmir issue and their concerns would also be raised during the meeting with her Indian counterpart.
Replying to a question, she said, it is a positive step that India is serious in the talks and is moving to institutionalize the process of negotiations with Pakistan. Pakistan, she said, wants cordial relations with all neighboring countries to achieve sustainable peace and stability in the region.
Replying to another query, she said, Pakistan is doing its best to eradicate terrorism but Pakistan cannot alone do it. Pakistan and India, both are facing terrorism and extremism and we should make a common strategy against our common enemy, she added.
Pakistan desires meaningful talks with India and discuss all the core issues, so as to help the two countries move forward. Pakistan and India, she said, have decided to discuss all irritants and all core issues so that we should move forward.
The international community should come forward to help Pakistan, she added.
