Mushahid Ullah brushes aside Senate chairman’s ouster reports

ISLAMABAD: In a political atmosphere cornering Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Mushahid Ullah Khan has ruled out removal of the former.

Mushahid Ullah Khan affirmed against the participating with growing voices of opposition.

“He [Sanjrani] is running the Senate affairs in the best way. We have no personal issues with Mr Sadiq Sajnrani. His behaviour is of top quality with us then why should we join the bandwagon promoting his removal?”, Mushahid said in a rhetorical manner.

Approaching upfront as an obstacle in Sadiq Sanjrani’s removal from chairmanship of the upper house of legislation, the senior PML-N stalwart affirmed that he will not side with the growing movement.

Earlier on Sunday, Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani called on the former president and Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

According to sources, the Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani tried to clarify the differences among the PPP and the federal government during the meeting. The Chairman Senate also requested to stay away from the protest of the opposition.

The sources have further revealed that the Senate Chairman has sought help from the former president to overcome the current political crisis of the country.
