Punjab will take on Balochistan in the opening fixture of the 10th National Women’s Volleyball Championship which will commence from Tuesday (today) at Hamidi Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad. The championship will be played under the aegis of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) in which seven teams including WAPDA, HEC, Balochistan, Punjab, FATA, KPP and Islamabad will contest for the title. The four-day event will conclude on July 29. Meanwhile, the PVF formed a tournament committee for the successful organization of the event. The committee comprises Mohammad Iqbal Khan (Chairman), M Baksh Javed (Director Competition), Agha Amjad (Director Facilities), Najma Anwar (Organizing Secretary) and Nadia Tabassum. Mrs. Shaheen Khan, Chairperson FBISE, Islamabad will be chief guest at the opening match.
